Beat Kaestli is a virtuosic vocalist with a warm sophistication and I was thrilled to work on this album. Born in Switzerland but based in NYC, Beat created a French theme for this recording. Almost all of the music is sung in French and the core of the band sound is acoustic guitar and accordion (played beautifully by Will Holshouser.) Matt Wigton and Fred Kennedy added bass and drums on a few tracks and the wonderful Clarice Assad and Elizabeth Lohninger added back-up vocals as well. This is a really catchy and enjoyable album to listen to.
