ENDLESS FIELD is my duo project with bassist Ike Sturm. Ike and I have been playing together since our early days on the NY scene. We have a special musical bond and are like brothers. This is a project a long time in the making! I love the way this album sounds. I’m so proud to be releasing it on Biophilia Records, a company that seeks to do good for our planet. Most of the album is duo, but we also have some of our closest musical collaborators with us on several of the songs. We have Grammy-winning saxophonist Donny McCaslin (David Bowie), keyboardist Fabian Almazan (Terence Blanchard), trumpeters Ingrid Jensen (Maria Schneider Orchestra), flugelhornist Nadje Noordhuis (Darcy James Argue’s Secret Society), and vibraphonist Chris Dingman (Steve Lehman). Plus the incredible percussion of Rich Stein and gorgeous vocals of Misty Ann Sturm. The album was mixed by Grammy-winning engineer, Dana Nielsen.
