This was my first album as a leader, recorded over two days at the Word of Mouth Studios in New Orleans and features nine of my original compositions. It was an exciting session. The group included my closest musician friends at the time, and Brian Seeger did a beautiful job producing the album. This recording features some outstanding playing from Deric Douget, Scott Bourgious, James Alsanders, and Andrew Baham. It also happens to be Jason Marsalis' first recording as a vibraphonist.
