Jon Irabagon is a musical force and all-around amazing guy. We were roommates in Queens after college and developed a lot of music together during those formative years. I was honored that he featured me as a special guest soloist on the track “That was Then.” His band was smoking - Eivind Opsvik (bass) Jeff Davis (drums) Russ Johnson (trumpet) and Kris Davis (piano). We recorded at Systems Two Studios in Brooklyn and I don’t think they were quite ready for the hang that ensued when Jon invited all of his friends (Original Outright! Jazz Band) into the studio to simultaneously play on the last song…and drink a lot of Heineken. Hilarious!
